I really wanted to like this place as I visit the area at least 6x a year & I was tired of the hotel in town. A few minutes before check in time I was told that the electronic keypad was broken & a key will be in a designated spot. I headed over to check in. Upon arrival, there was a HVAC guy inside the unit. As a woman traveling alone, this was a little unnerving. There was communication about him being there but I was busy driving to the unit. A new AC unit had been installed & there was some issue with it. HVAC guy spoke little English. The AC unit sounded like a jet plane, not a desired feature of "THE HANGAR". My decibel app stated 85 db. I couldn't hear the tv. The next day a neighbor brought over a window unit which wasn't any better. The unit needs maintenance: paint & a deep clean. A box of tissue & roll of paper towels would be nice. Not a "full" kitchen, just microwave, refrig & sink. Freezer had heavy ice build up inside. Very limited utensils & sticky bottles of spices.

For the most part it was a good stay. The a/c kept blowing air but it wasn’t cool so our last night was difficult to sleep. It felt like it hadn’t been stayed in in a long time.

Very clean place above the garage with a separate entrance from the back alley. A tight parking spot for one car and this second floor can be a bit warm in the hot afternoon. However, the air conditioner was effective at getting the temperature down , though it was fairly loud. The place is spotless and comfortable with a nice bathroom and small kitchen. I enjoyed my stay!

The Hangar was very cozy and comfortable. Our hosts were responsive to all of our questions and always ready to help. The accommodations were clean and the bed was very comfortable. I actually ended up staying at The Hangar twice while looking for a permanent residence in the area. It was clean and conveniently located between the Bay Area and Sacramento, UC Davis, etc. By my second stay and after some stressful days, The Hangar felt like my safe hideaway! Thanks ?

Only issue I had was the heater made a considerable amount of noise when trying to sleep, if you are a light sleeper and going in the cold months then this might bother you.

I have stayed in 14 different Bnbs in 2023 and this one of the best. One of the more functional well appointed kitchens for this size unit that I have seen including a larger fridge. Motion activated lights in the bathroom are a great idea. Really cool aviation handmade decor. Easy instructions and access. It probably says it in the original posting but just be aware that there are stairs and there is only parking for one car. This is one of those places where I want to leave a bad review so it is more likely to be available when I come back to town.

I stayed at the Hanger for 6 nights. It was very modern, clean and private. The bed was very comfortable and the shower had great water pressure. It is a big plus for me that they are pet friendly, and there is a great park right around the corner to walk your dog. The neighborhood also seemed very safe. I would stay at the hanger again.

The host was super helpful. My flight got in really late and I had a little trouble getting in and I reached out and to my surprise got a really fast response. The place was very clean and was the perfect size for me. The area was very clean and quiet. I enjoyed my stay there.

Overall, this is a great stay for a short time. I encountered a few issues during my stay, but the hosts were always very responsive and friendly! PS. There is only a kitchenette so microwaveable meals or ordering out is necessary — keep in mind delivery options are limited and there aren’t many nearby restaurants if you have dietary restrictions.

It’s a quite community, easy to find/park. There is a park so you can walk ur dog there. The only problem is the Wi-Fi would disconnect by itself sometimes so you will have to reconnect it. Overall it’s a good place to stay.

As a local in need of a quick getaway to relax, decompress and recharge energy, this was the place to be. Host was very good communicating proactively and in responding messages very quickly. Only thing I had an inconvenience with was the digital lock door. The check-in instructions on how to open it lacked full step by step on how to use, OR the actual digital lock wasn’t properly functioning. But host responded immediately and we switched to an actual key.

Adventure Stays is phenomenal. The private parking space is just outstanding, 20 stars just that! Very clean and well-kept place overall. Communication with host is seamless, and listing is in a quiet and safe neighborbood. The major highlight for me is the keypad. There is this extra security measure aside from simply pressing the numbers. Whether or not that extra security feature was in place by mere coincidence, or is deliberate; have to admit, is still pretty clever. Don't want to spoil it, so I guess you'll have to book this place to find out! No complaints on my end, this humble abode is a major win, give it a try, highly recommend!

Cute, clean place located in a safe neighborhood. We visited Winters, which was about a 20 min drive and also a cute lavender farm in Dixon that was 5 mins away. Very responsive host and we enjoyed our stay!

First and foremost- the bed in this place is the BEST! So often, travelers don’t sleep well when away from their own bed, you will not have that issue at The Hangar. Best. Bed. Ever. Jake and Caroline have thought of everything. They leave a helpful binder on the dining area with a lot of local Dixon information - including their favorite places to eat. The Hangar is near a lovely park, just about a block away. My pup and I walked there almost daily and it was a great walk a few times around the perimeter. It has great equipment for children. I truly had a GREAT stay and will look to book The Hangar again next time I am in the area.

The place was as described, a little more spacious than the photos showed which was great. Only downside is the amount of things you can hear, the garage below is super loud when opened by the owners but obviously that isn’t something they can control so no real complaints! Id stay here again.

This is the perfect place to stay! I had a week long course at UC Davis so it was close-by and very convenient. It is very spacious, clean, very comfortable bed and lots of room for exercise. So much better than a hotel room with all the needed amenities. The hosts were super responsive. Will definitely book a stay here the next time I am in the area.

I came to town yo visit the UC Davis campus. The hangar was a great place for the price, a short drive to the campus. The owners were very responsive and helpful. I also love the flexibility of being able to bring my dog although I ended up not needing to.

I really enjoyed my stay at The Hangar. It was a lovely little space that looked exactly like the pictures. Very clean and comfortable. The only issues I had were getting in, it wasnt obvious how to open the gate and the door was a little finicky when you try to unlock it. The property owners/managers are aware of the challenges and had to come help me out.They were super nice and apologetic about it. No big deal! :) I would absolutely stay here again

I stayed at the Hanger in December of 2022 when I was in town for a wedding. The place is super cozy and clean. It a studio which has been beautifully renovated. Big bathroom and a comfy queen sized bed. There is a decent sized TV and I enjoyed some NFL highlights and World Cup games. The kitchen has a fridge, a microwave, and a coffee machine. The hosts live close by and they were super responsive. There is a military grade heater installed, so you won’t be cold even when it is freezing outside. All in all, this is a great deal. Totally recommended.

I would ABSOLUTELY recommend this location to the AirBNB community. Adventure Stays & their local property manager were amazingly prompt in their responses and did their best to accommodate us a late check out. It’s a little out of the way to get to, but once you’ve checked in the peace & serenity of The Hangar is everything I sought for in an little escape while I explored UC Davis. Definitely give this place a look if you want an excellent, very hospitable stay! ((However, this property does use stairs so it is sadly not ADA accessible.))

The Hangar is the perfect retreat. It’s private, up and away from the main house with its own parking spot and entrance. I spoke with the host three or four times in passing and he was always pleasant and helpful. The apartment is spacious and modern. The bed was comfortable, there was a nice couch and tv area, table and chairs and kitchenette (no stove). The bathroom was roomy and the shower was hot. The neighborhood of newer homes is safe and quiet. I stayed three days and would have stayed more but they were booked. I had everything I needed for my stay.

This is a nice little cozy Airbnb perfect for anyone needing a place to stay while in the area. It’s tucked away in a nice little quiet part of Dixon. The host was also super helpful and was quick to respond if I needed anything. I would definitely book this Airbnb again if I find myself back in the area.

Nice place above the garage in a small town. Strong water pressure, hot water, and A/C (which you'll likely need). Cute decor and helpful hosts. No dishwasher/clothes washer makes it difficult to stay for weeks, but this place is a great option for a few nights.

A cute studio apartment in a quiet neighborhood Positive: We liked the privacy and the quiet. Parking was convenient. The communication was excellent. Bed comfortable and bathroom clean. The TV worked well. Negative: The lock on the front door was difficult to lock from the outside. We never managed to do it and had to leave the door unlocked. The smoke alarm did not have a battery. And while we didn’t want you to cook, calling the kitchen a “full kitchen” without any burner or stove is a stretch.
